WA-ACDA Summer Institute 2007 pronounced "major success;" featured clinician, Z. Randall Stroope

Dr. Z. Randall Stroope of Rowan University headlined this year's WA-ACDA Summer Institute, held on the beautiful campus of the University of Puget Sound. Attendees gave a long and heartfelt ovation for his work at the conclusion of the event which ended with the singing of his "All My Heart This Night Rejoices."

Registration this year was 206.

One of the continuing popular characteristics of the WA-ACDA/UPS event is the careful selection of reading materials presented by NW choral leaders. J. W. Pepper provides a superb service to directors by obtaining and supplying titles (for free) that are selected by top directors at the university, high school, church, community, and children's levels...and in all voicings. The material is consistently of the highest quality.

President Leora Schwitters noted that comments from attendees this year indicated they were very pleased with the event. Leora commended the WA-ACDA board by saying, "What a wonderful group of people we have! It was very gratifying to hear Dr. Stroope talking to the participants yesterday about how in his "hanging out" with the WA-ACDA board, he was impressed more than anything by how positive, warm and affirming all of you are with each other. I am offering a resounding, "Amen!"
